1)      Executive Chairs: These types of chairs are meant for people who belong to a higher hierarchical rank in the office. Usually, these chairs have a high back than the typical chairs and have a revolving bottom. The cushion is made of premium quality material, mostly genuine leather while the durability factor is high as well. These chairs are mostly used in corporate honchos’ cabins or conference rooms.

2)      Premium Chairs: As the name tells its tale, Premium Chairs are made of uber high quality material, are very luxurious and give-out a very soft, comfortable and relaxing sitting experience. These chairs are usually the ones your bosses sit on. They come in various colors, shapes and sizes and have a similar backrest and handrest like the Executive chairs. The only difference is the material, the comfort and above all, the price; but if you’re the boss, this is what will distinguish you from others.

3)      Student Chairs: Classrooms, institutes, colleges, coaching classes, etc. order or buy student chairs for their students. These chairs have a good backrest, most of them don’t have wheels and adjustable bottom, while some also come with all these features as well. Student chairs are shorter in height as compared to other chairs and are good for long hours of study and for boosting concentration.

4)      Task Chairs and Specialty Chairs: Chairs meant for specific tasks like bar stools, waiting lounge chairs, barber’s chair, etc. come under the task chairs category. These chairs are simple in design, not very comfortable and moderately priced. Quality might be a setback when you go for these types of chairs

5)      Ergonomically Designed Chairs: Ergonomics is the science of sitting in a correct posture. Chairs that are ergonomically designed tend to offer great deal of comfort, relaxation and ease of working. They undergo rounds of rigorous testing, making them great for those suffering from spine problems or for those who sit for very long hours. If you’re an office employee, ask your boss to buy ergonomically designed chairs for you and your colleagues so that productivity is increased and pain is reduced.

6)      Show-off Chairs: These are those chairs you might have seen in art galleries or plush restaurants or hotels and in the living room of your insanely rich relative or neighbor. These chairs offer less of comfort, less of durability but are high on impressions and price.

Now, after we’ve narrowed down the characteristics of different types of chairs, it will be easy for you to choose one for yourself, for your family members or for your employees.
